I am not that good at Maths but it looks like the Obama camp raised more than $40 million. Their goal: 10,000 new donors. They already passed that benchmark. Lets assume the average donation will be $100, they can only raise $1 million. I think they are confident that they can beat McCain and RNC combined if they get $1 million more in addition to what they already raised.

That is just my take.
